I love everything about summer–taking early morning walks outside, bike rides, flip flops, shorts, fresh fruits and vegetables, festivals and fairs, fireworks, outdoor concerts, and the little bit of color I get from being in the sun. Yes, I do remember to use sunscreen.
The unprecedented quarantining from the CoronaVirus put a real damper on a few of those awesome activities last summer; I feel I have a lot to make up for, and I know I’m not alone.
With the approval of the governor’s office, much of Utah has “opened back up” and it feels like we are almost “back to normal.” As a result, many of my favorite things about this time of year are once again available–I’m totally engaged, and it feels magnificent! Everybody should get on board with spending some time outside!
Maybe you don’t like all the same kinds of things I like, but there’s something “outdoorsy” for everybody available in the Summer Passport Program. For starters, visit the Get Outdoors Adventure to get your family talking about the idea of visiting a National Park and making the most of it.
